Aaron Lubrick is an American artist who was born in Texas and raised in Louisville, Kentucky. He received his BFA from the Columbus College of Art & Design in 2005 and his MFA from the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts in 2007. Currently, he serves as an Associate Professor of Art at Spalding University in Louisville, Kentucky. Throughout his career, Lubrick has been known for his distinctive painting approach, which combines abstraction with representation to create bold, colorful works that convey emotion and mood. His paintings often derive from perceptual philosophies and memory while featuring organic shapes with gestural brushwork. He creates a sense of movement and energy that draws the viewer in. Lubrick's work is influenced by a range of artistic traditions, including Abstract Expressionism, Color Field Painting, and the Fauvist movement.
